This is a compilation of some moments in the long friendship between Gustav Demoneo and Phil Demise which began in 1959 and continues on and on...these songs were written by Demeyes and arranged and performed by Demoneo. Some songs were co-written and recorded by Demoneo in the mid 1970's ("Groovy Fellows", "Call Me on the Phoney", and "We're Gonna Rock") in Demoneo's home "analog" studio creating tracks by bouncing back and forth on two reel to reel tape recorders. One song, "See It Through", was recorded in Demeyes' digital home studio in his sons' bedroom in the West Village, NYC.The rest of the songs were recorded in Demeyes' digital, "Last Resort" home studio in Ridgefield, CT. All songs were written and recorded between the years 1975 and 2009.

"I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate Herm Freeman (Gustav Demoneo) as the inspiration for most of my "musical" expression. Beginning in 1975 when I reunited with Herm after we each returned from our MFA adventures (in art and poetry), we then began our spontaneous, unrehearsed process that has, through incarnations of numerous "bands", created and recorded in some form, over 200 songs. The songs on this playlist just scratch the surface and the depths of our lifetime of collaborations."

I began playing music in 1975 and was a part of the New Wave/Punk Scene in NYC, fronting two bands (The N.DoDo Band and Didus and the Fabulous Mascarenes).
